글로벌사우스리뷰(Review of Global South / ISSN: 3092-2119)는 글로벌사우스 지역이 직면한 정치·경제·사회·문화적 도전과 변화에 대한 학문적 분석을 목적으로 창간된 학술저널입니다. 본 저널은 글로벌사우스가 더 이상 국제질서의 주변부가 아닌 핵심 행위자로 부상하고 있다는 문제의식에서 출발하여, 해당 지역에 대한 이론적·경험적 연구를 축적하고 확장하고자 합니다.

글로벌사우스리뷰는 정치학, 국제정치학, 경제학, 사회학, 언어학을 비롯한 인문사회과학 전반과 지역학 연구를 포괄적으로 아우르는 학술저널입니다. 단일 학문이나 접근에 국한되지 않고, 다양한 이론적·방법론적 관점을 수용함으로써 글로벌사우스 지역이 당면한 복합적인 문제를 입체적으로 조명하는 것이 목적입니다.

Review of Global South

Review of Global South is an academic journal launched to advance scholarly understanding of the political, economic, social, and cultural challenges confronting the Global South. The journal is grounded in the recognition that the Global South has emerged as a central arena in the formation and transformation of contemporary international order, rather than remaining a peripheral region.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary research across the social sciences and area studies, including political science, international relations, economics, sociology, linguistics, and related fields. By embracing diverse theoretical and methodological approaches, Review of Global South seeks to provide comprehensive and nuanced analyses of the complex and multidimensional issues facing the Global South.

The regional scope of Review of Global South generally encompasses Latin America, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and Central Asia. The journal aims to examine both shared challenges across the Global South and region-specific dynamics, thereby contributing to the expansion of Global South scholarship.

In addition, Review of Global South pays close attention to interactions between the Global South and other regions, including North America, Europe, and Northeast Asia. Through studies on diplomacy, security, economic cooperation, development, historical experiences, and cultural and linguistic exchanges, the journal explores the evolving patterns of interregional relations that shape the Global South’s position in global politics.

Review of Global South serves as an open platform for scholarly dialogue, fostering the accumulation of rigorous research while bridging academic inquiry and policy-relevant debates. Through this endeavor, the journal aspires to contribute meaningful insights into the challenges and opportunities confronting the Global South in the contemporary international landscape.
